The occult significance of blood eBook Rudolf Steiner
He goes through existential bodies, to the formation of the ego and then wraps it up with some interesting ideas about ancestry and the clairvoyance of the ancients. Good book. However it's very intellectually dense. This is not a book for a beginner, this is a book for someone whose studied and reflected a lot. This book is like a glue that brings many concepts together. Someone needs to start making facsimiles to keep these teachings in circulation.

The occult significance of blood eBook Rudolf Steiner Reviews
It's unbelievable how many typos are in the version. A blind monkey typing drunkenly would have done a better job.
Blood's significance is obvious
Difficult to read. Otherwise, very informative.
I love Rudolf Steiner's work, but am giving this less than 5 stars only because I bought the version and the formatting onto device leaves one trying to figure out what Steiner actually wrote at times. In addition to the lack of formatting there are numerous misspelled/incorrect words. I was able to decipher everything tho', just took a bit of re-reading at times.
Steiner's work is food for the soul. Period.
The kindle edition appears to be a scanned copy that has been ran through an automated software for recognition of text so it is quite imperfect and complicates the reading.
I think the message of the book is clear but perhaps the translation is a bit antiquated. About the book the first part is tortuous but in the end everything gets to have sense and is enjoyable. The fact that the thesis about the meaning of blood is constructed over a line of fiction from Goethe's Faust breaks to me a bit the illusion of reality.
Steiner makes many allusions to blood as it was beginning to be understood in his era, but is lost in many ways and given to fancy when applying mystical properties to DNA to explain interest in the fluid as a central theme in the story of Faust in the contract or exchange with Mephistopheles. Steiner also explicitly states that blood carried over to descendants experiences and memory to a greater degree before various races intermingled their blood, giving over the inherited memory in exchange for higher states of consciousness. No explanation is given for this transaction except dilution and complexity via added diversity.
